John O'Sullivan is on the brink of a return from injury for Carlisle United.
And Kelvin Etuhu is also poised to rejoin the squad after a lay-off.
Both players have joined in full training with the Blues this week, manager Keith Curle said.
The Blues boss claimed both will be under consideration for tomorrow's FA Cup First Round clash with Oldham.
Winger O'Sullivan has not featured yet this campaign after suffering a groin injury in pre-season, while midfielder Etuhu has missed United's last three games with a thigh problem.
Curle said: "Both are fit, and both trained fully yesterday [Thursday] with the squad for the first time.
"They've been doing a lot of extra work, a lot of field-based training.
"We make sure when players integrate back in, they are at full-tilt so they can withstand the rigours of how we train.
"That means it has taken a bit more time, rather than put them back in too soon and run the risk of other injuries or reoccurrences."
Curle will be further boosted by the availability of Shaun Miller and Reggie Lambe tomorrow.
Miller has completed a two-match ban for simulation while Bermuda captain Lambe is back from international duty.
