It’s déjà vu all over again. A couple of encouraging performances against much stronger sides, followed by a poor performance against a side that, if we were anywhere close to being on our game, were very much there for the taking.

That’s sadly the inconsistency we’ve had to endure again and another reason why the likes of Shrewsbury will probably be lining up for another season in League One as we head back to the basement licking our wounds.

Ticket offer matches have likely come at better times in terms of our on field performance, but this weekend sees the #onecarlisleonecommunity day, where ticket reductions are in place to encourage a large following and a good atmosphere at Brunton Park.

It is not a party celebrating relegation as continues to be suggested, it is another chance to show that things are moving in the right direction off the field and that the club is in as strong a position as it has been for many a year in terms of its place in the local community.

A large crowd on the back of the ticket offer only goes to show exactly what can be, WHEN we get it right on the pitch.

CUOSC will have a presence in the Fanzone on Saturday, where you can come and speak to board members about anything related to our the club. There will be activities for children and you may get chance to take on a Piatak or two at a game of cornhole.

There will also be an opportunity to complete our ‘Future of CUOSC’ Survey if you haven’t already done so. There will be posters dotted around Brunton Park with a QR code to take you straight to the survey.

Over 1,000 responses have already been received from both members and non members, so thank you to everyone who has completed this so far. It will still also be available at https://survey.cust.org.uk/survey1 until the end of the month and really only does take a couple of minutes to complete.

CUOSC were very pleased to match the donation towards the Easter fund set up by @WarwickRoadEnd and @FlagsforUnited for youngsters in the Carlisle area at Easter. We doubled the £355 from the online fundraiser. Well done to everyone who contributed.

CUOSC continues to work on a number of longer term projects with the club and we are looking forward to sharing these as and when they are progressed. Fast approaching is the Lincoln game, so don’t forget to get your retro kit ready to fill Brunton Park with classic shirts on April 1.

Visit our website www.cuosc.org.uk to join and be a part of the CUOSC future. It currently costs £10 for an adult and £5 for seniors and under-18s
