Thomas scored twice for Carlisle in a pre-season home game against Tranmere Rovers in 2019, but was not offered a deal by then manager Steven Pressley.

Sutton boss Matt Gray told the club website: ''Kwame was keen to get more regular football which we haven't been able to give him recently, and this is a great opportunity for him to play at a good level and hopefully he will be able to help Dundee's promotion challenge.''

Carlisle play Sutton, who are currently 14th, on the final day of the campaign which was today moved back to Monday, May 8 with a 12.30pm kick-off.
