THREE car clubs are rallying together to hold a memorial night meet to honour the lives lost in road accidents across their region.

The event, occurring at Port Road Business Park, Carlisle, will not only remember those who died tragically, but also aim to raise awareness of unsafe driving habits.

The event on June 29, at 7pm, is being organised by Carlisle Modded, Unity and District Cruises.

Ryan Mumberson, of Carlisle Modded, said: "Too many lives are lost due to people driving dangerously beyond their capabilities.

"This is something that needs to be focused on a lot more in our area."

The clubs are committed to making roads safer, emphasising that they hold static events not to spoil fun but to prevent further accidents and fatalities.

The event will also offer family-friendly attractions, such as a hot food stall, sweet and drink stand, music and other stalls.

Anyone interested in supporting the cause, participating in a trade stand, or wanting more information about the event is encouraged to reach out to any of the clubs' admin.

"Everybody is welcome, all ages, and motors, bikes, cars, trucks.

"Let's make this night one to remember," Ryan said.
