THE building housing the former Ruen Thai restaurant in Carlisle has gone on the market.
The freehold for the two-storey Crosby Street property is now for sale via brokers Sidney Phillips.
The asking price for the detached city centre property is £185,000.
Ruen Thai closed in early August when its lease on the property came to an end, it announced on social media at the time.
Its stellar reputation as a traditional establishment serving authentic south-east Asian cuisine was burnished by superb online reviews by customers, with the establishment holding a 4.5 rating on TripAdvisor.
Since its closure, staff at the restaurant have been serving up Thai street food at the Beauty & The Treat café in Earls Lane.
Other Thai restaurants in Carlisle include the nearby Royal Outpost and Siam Thai on Lonsdale Street.
A new Thai establishment called Namh Moon is set to open on Treasury Court, off Fisher Street, later this week.
