PEOPLE in Copeland and Carlisle are more likely than anyone else in the UK to buy a pink phone according to new figures.

Mobile phone retailer Fonehouse has released these new statistics after analysing their sales data.

Fonehouse cross referenced this data, which was collected between August 2020 and August 2022, with the ONS Postcode Directory to assign local authority area and produce the list which Carlisle and Copeland top.

In recent years, phone manufactors have begun to stray away from the traditional black and silver handsets and now offer more colourful alternatives.

According to the statistics produced by Fonehouse, people in Copeland are the most likely to buy a pink phone, with 7.8 per cent of all sales in the area being a pink handset.

In the nationwide list, Carlisle are runner-up to their local counterparts, with 4.5 per cent of all sales being a pink phones.
