A CARLISLE cafe has been awarded a new four-out-of-five rating after a recent food hygiene inspection.
Borderway Cafe is a cafe inside the Harrison and Hethrington site on Montgomery Way, Carlisle.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) inspected the site on Wednesday, October 12 and subsequently awarded the new rating.
The inspection found that both hygiene, food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities and building was good.
Management of food safety was found to be generally satisfactory.
This newest rating from the FSA means that of Carlisle's 208 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 186 (89 per cent) have ratings of five.
No food venue with a rating in Carlisle is recorded as having a rating of zero.
