WHEN you envisage being the best you can possibly be but it may just seem out-of-reach, sometimes you need a helping hand.

And whether it be diet or strength training there's no better to do it than the team behind the member focused Barrie Mark Personal Training Gym

The lifestyle offering at Harraby Green Business Park was founded by Barrie Mark Scougal - and is helped carried by a wealth of highly expertised trainers on hand.

After initially launching his business from the back of a transit van in 2007 - it's grown exponentially and has seen the business have clients all across the world both online and in-person.

"Fitness is for everybody but our services aren't cheap. It's not a gym, you come get trained. All classes are individual to you whether its strength or yoga class. You have your traditional high street gyms where you rent the space and equipment, whereas here you come here you get looked after 24/7 in the way of personal training, nutrition, accountability, body scans, mindset a whole host of things, so it's a completely different set up working with us," he said.

To say their highly sought after would be understatement, but what do you expect when you want the best in the business.

"We take 20 clients on a month as a 30 day personal trainer experience, so people can try it. The trial we offer everyone is their chance to see if their value and ethos we hold as a business matches theirs. If we don't feel we are the place for them, we help direct them to other gyms around the area, which is quite different from how other gyms operate," he said.

And whilst Barrie's drive hasn't deterred in anyway, perhaps his ambitions have.

"People who knew me a long time ago, they knew how focused I was. I wanted 10 gyms across the UK and Europe. But that's not what it's about now, I've got two little girls, we tried for eight years for children and I lost my mum to cancer last year - my outlook on life has changed quite considerably in the last couple of years.

"Now everything I do is with a view of how it impacts my girls. I want to run a business that my girls can look up to and aspire to and ultimately benefit them further down the line.

"Over the next five years, we're just going to keep on impacting as many people as we can," he said.
