A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of touching two females.
Officers were called to Holme Head Bay, Denton Holme, Carlisle, at around 8pm on Friday.
Police are reminding the public to avoid commenting on social media about this incident to avoid legal issues.
A spokesman from Cumbria Constabulary said: "A man has been arrested and is in custody following an incident at Holme Head Bay, Denton Holme, Carlisle yesterday.
"Officers were called to the area at 7.56pm and a man in his forties was arrested on suspicion of touching two females.
"Police can confirm this incident is not connected to a seperate incident earlier in the week in this area of the city.
"Officers are also aware of social media messages being circulated in connection to this and would ask people not to comment or circulate these to protect the integrity of the legal process.
