A MAN has been remanded in custody following an incident of suspected kidnap and attempted rape in the Denton Holme area.
The 32 year-old man from Blackburn, who was arrested yesterday (August 10), on suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment and attempted rape, has been remanded in custody whilst he remains under investigation.
The reported incident occurred in a field near Denton Holme area on Monday evening (August 8).
A spokesperson from Cumbria Constabulary said: "Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the incident – which occurred in a field near to the bay in Denton Holme - to come forward, if they are yet to do so.
"Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it , quoting incident number 271 of August 8 2022. You can also phone on 101.
