A COMMUNITY centre has announced that this year it is going to put on another open day.

The Brampton Community Centre is going to be hosting its open day for this year on August Bank Holiday, Monday, August 29.

A spokesperson from the Brampton Community Centre said that after the success of last year’s event, organisers hope this year’s will be bigger and better than ever.

They said: “There will be a mixture of stalls, community groups and games for the whole family to enjoy.”

The free event will feature community organisations such as Brampton Parish Council, Health Watch Cumbria and Incredible Edible, independent traders selling local and handmade products, a bouncy castle, face painting, and the opportunity to meet local artists.

Last year’s event showcased the different community groups including Brampton Acting Together, Brampton & Longtown Rotary Club, Sustainable Brampton, Brampton Area Action Group, and the Brampton Poets, among others.

The day is about showcasing all the local community groups and organisations making a difference across the Brampton area and giving everyone a chance to enjoy a day out with friends and family.

The Brampton Community Centre’s open day will run from 10am to 4pm.
