Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service attended a home in North Stainmore after a carbon monoxide alarm was activated, late last night.
The incident took place at 12:47am (July,13) and brought with it two fire engines to assess the situation.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service said: "The incident involved a carbon monoxide alarm being activated in a domestic building.
"Firefighters used a co2 monitor and isolated suspected appliances.
"The property was ventilated.
"Crews were detained for one hour and fifteen minutes," they said.
