AFTER selling out their first Platinum Jubilee dinner, a Silloth restaurant have announced a second day where they’ll be serving the limited menu.

The Greenview Guest House are now taking bookings for tables for Saturday, June 4.

Located on Criffel Street, the Greenview Guest House have announced that they will provide a special menu to help celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.

Inspired by dishes served to the new Queen at the Coronation Banquet on June 4, 1952, (and with a nod to Her Majesty's favourite tipple), Chef Archie has come up with a menu that celebrates the Best of British in tribute to the upcoming celebrations.

Upon entering, guests will be offered a welcome aperitif of a flute of fizz or a gin and dubonnet shot.

Starters include a coronation chicken filo tartlet, prawn cocktail or mushroom soup.

For mains, you can select from a variety of dishes including baked parmesan crusted salmon fillet and lamb neck fillet.

Puddings include Eton Mess and gin jelly and dubonnet ice cream.

The cost for two courses is £19.95 per person, with a three-course meal costing £24.95.

Places for the second day are very limited and interested parties have been told that booking is essential.

To secure your table, call 01697 331743.
