SILLOTH Fish and Chip shop, The Corner Café was left star struck when former Pop Idol winner Will Young popped in for some takeway tea during Bank Holiday weekend.
Dan Ware, who works at the shop, was so shocked to see the singer he did not recognise him at first and had to ask if it was really him and to his surprise it was.
Dan is a fan of some of Wills songs and celebrated the moment on Facebook with a selfie of the pair.
He said: “He was a really down to earth man and liked to interact with people he spoke to me personally and was really nice”

Will did not mention the reason for the trip to Cumbria but was joined with his fashion designer and a few others.
The group treated themselves to a small feast as Will ordered 5 fish and chips for the group.
The aftermath of the visit gave a big boost for the staff members working that night and Dan said they “really enjoyed the interaction between us”.
Will also mentioned to those working that he went to The Corner Café as it was the best fish and chip shop in the area, which they said was 'such lovely feedback'.
Some of Will Youngs latest ventures include participating in the 2022 of The Masked Singer and an upcoming documentary on Channel Four about the loss of his twin brother.
