A teenage girl suffered back injuries after being struck by a car in Carlisle.
The 14-year-old was knocked down outside B&M Bargains, in Wigton Road, during yesterday's rush hour.
It was the second collision yesterday in which a child was injured.
The teenage girl was struck by a blue Vauxhall Vectra car at about 6.10pm.
Traffic was backed up throughout the city, while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The car driver, a 65-year-old woman, was uninjured, but the girl suffered lower back injuries.
She was taken by ambulance to the city's Cumberland Infirmary for x-rays, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The incident was resolved by 7pm, but it took some time for the traffic to clear.
