NEW paintings from world class still life artist Tim Gustard will be featured in an exhibition in Cumbria this month.

From Saturday May 12 until Sunday 20, Beckstones Art Gallery in Greystoke Ghyll, near Penrith, is hosting its ninth biennial exhibition with the artist, featuring 24 new paintings which Tim has been working on for the past two years.

Each and every Gustard painting is very much a labour of love and it’s not unusual for Tim to spend several hundred hours on one painting.

The renowned artist moved to Cumbria in 1997 and lives in Stainton, near Penrith, where he spends almost all of his time painting.

Beckstones Gallery has worked with Tim now for more than 20 years and such is his reputation locally, nationally and internationally that hopeful purchasers have been known to travel especially to the gallery from all over the world.

His work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, The Royal Scottish Academy, The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, The Royal Scottish Society of Watercolour Painters and the Royal Glasgow Institute.

All of Tim’s previous exhibitions at the gallery have been hugely successful with the entire collection quickly sold.

Prices at this latest exhibition start from £2,200. The complete catalogue of the exhibition can be viewed online at www.beckstonesartgallery.co.uk.

The gallery is open every day from 10am until 5pm.
