After opting to play their home fixtures on Saturday evenings, it means that Haven have six days between games instead of the usual seven.
Coyle believes that Haven can use that to their advantage and is looking forward to the visit of Bradford Bulls on Saturday night, kick-off 6.30pm.
“The best thing about rugby league is the fact that we have a quick turnaround,” Coyle said.
“We have six days between games and it gives us an early chance to get back on the horse and put things right.
“There are things we did well against Halifax, despite the scoreline.
“We had limited time on the field in preparation for the game, but some of the things we did were quite good.
“We’ve got to work harder on the little things and work harder for each other.
“We’re only going to get better throughout the year.
“It’s a tough start to the season for us but, as long as we improve, the results will come.”
Haven had limited opportunities to create scoring chances during Sunday’s 52-6 defeat to promotion-chasers Halifax and Coyle believes that his side need to find more self-belief at this early stage of the season.
One opportunity fell to centre Ed Chamberlain who hesitated after being played into space down the left-hand side early in the first half, the centre was then bundled into touch by Halifax’s defence.
“It showed they were maybe not as confident in their own abilities as they should be,” the Haven coach added.
