Looked excellent going forward, carved open numerous chances. Had a couple of shaky spells in both halves where we too open. An honourable mention for Nicholson, who looked far more comfortable and solid today compared to previous games (@CowellLes1975)

Looked very good going forward, I like Ellis in the team but my POTM would have been Nicholson. Created chances for fun and could have been double figures today. Hopefully lots of confidence going in to potentially the toughest game of the season next weekend (@andrewhoddie)
Great performance, suspect at the back but going forward it’s a breath of fresh air with what we’ve endured the last couple of seasons.. pace, power and a real threat to the opposition. Let’s not retreat into our shell next Saturday and ask some real questions of Boreham Wood (@Wisey6575)
Reasonably accomplished against a poor team. Great to seen us scoring freely, a little concerned about Desbois not commanding his 6 yard box & conceding 2 from corners, but some excellent saves once again. Him and Azeez are the buys of the season. Tough challenge up next. (@Rich_W27)
Considering they finished in the playoffs last season I thought we were far the superior side and should really have had at least 6 goals. Azeez was great today and has such composure and skill with the ball. Refreshing to see a player like that in our midfield. (@daverigg)

An entertaining game. However, is Carlisle one of the only teams that scare the life out of you even at 4-1 up? United should have scored seven. Yet, it was Desbois' brilliance that made victory certain. Borehamwood next. It could get messy. (@BruceVander)
Looked good going forward, but worryingly look very open when we lose the ball. But have to be happy with a win, and hopefully we use this as a springboard for a run of results. (@dnm_thegoose)
I think Desbois is papering over a lot of cracks right now. We keep making a ton of mental mistakes that lead directly to really good chances, and I can't help but wonder how long that can hold. (@norraist)

We have not been able to defend for 3 years possibly longer…a fit Feeney will ease that slightly but it’s great to see us on the front foot at home…night and day compared to the dull watch last season. Concerns yes especially next week but we will take a point!! (@ReayBlue)
So much the better side, full control after going ahead, missed glorious chances & should have crushed them. Then complete panic stations & lost control. Composure was required instead we got 20 mins of drivel & panic. Kelly is useless, fights a lot but cannot control the ball. (@Dougmacd9826)

Good performance. Need to stop conceding sloppy goals from set pieces to get out of this league though. Like the look of all the new signings. Special mention for Nicholson for almost starting a brawl with Scunthorpe in the warmup (@JayCeeShirts)
Look good in spells , need a new 9 though that has more to his game than ball bouncing of him and wrestling defenders. Lumaba looked sharp coming on and Azeez was good today and Nicholson (@Davidrawcliffe2)
We are creating loads of chances at home. Could do with a goal-scoring No9 to put them away - not Kelly's forte. Still a bit nerve-wracking, even when we score 4, but a much better watch than anything Sparky's team produced. (@MikeEwins)
