Carlisle United have sealed the signing of Worthing attacking midfielder Teddy Jenks.
The 24-year-old has linked up with the Cumbrians to bolster their midfield ranks on a permanent deal.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion, Crawley Town and Forest Green Rovers man heads north from fellow National League side Worthing.
He had been with the Sussex club for the past year, helping them win promotion from National League South.
But now he has swapped the Rebels for the Blues for an undisclosed fee, signing a two-year deal with the option of a further year.
Jenks started in Worthing's first four games of the campaign, including their opening-day 3-2 win over Carlisle at Brunton Park, whilst he scored in the Rebels' 2-1 defeat to Forest Green Rovers and supplied two assists in their 3-2 defeat at Tamworth on Friday.
But he was not involved in their squad to face Boreham Wood on Monday - and has now confirmed his move to United.
Speaking on the club website, Carlisle's sporting director Marc Tierney said: "Ted is a player we first identified last year, and we’ve continued to monitor him closely as part of our recruitment strategy.
"He’s a talented and versatile midfielder who brings energy, physicality and quality on the ball.
"He has the ability to carry the ball forward, link play and contribute at both ends of the pitch, while his versatility gives us another valuable option within the squad.
"Ted fits the profile of player we want to bring into the club, someone who can make an immediate impact but also has plenty of scope to develop.
"I’d like to thank Worthing for their professionalism throughout the process, and our owners for their continued investment and support in making the deal possible."
United head coach Rob Elliot said former England youth international Jenks can play in midfield and in more attacking areas.
"He brings other people into play and he's excellent in the final third," he added. "He brings good physicality into the game too.
“I think he'll really fit in well with the squad that we've got. He's a great lad who wants to be successful and wants to develop.
“I feel like he's the right profile of player – age, games and attributes – that we want to bring into the club. I'm looking forward to working with him and seeing him on the pitch.”
United have moved to strengthen their midfield options after the news that Harvey Macadam is set to be ruled out for several more weeks with a hamstring injury.
Jenks could make his Blues debut at Boreham Wood next Saturday.
The midfielder came through Brighton's academy and made two senior appearances against the Seagulls, before loans at Aberdeen and Crawley. His time at the latter did not coincide with Elliot's spell in charge of the Red Devils.
A permanent move to Forest Green followed, after which Jenks had a loan move to Ross County and then made the permanent switch to Worthing last summer.
He was a key man in the Rebels' National League South title-winning season in 2025/26, and scored 16 goals in 45 appearances for the club, including 13 in the league last season.
