WORKINGTON AFC have agreed to sign 27-year-old defender Joe Grayson on non-contract forms, subject to clearance.

The left-footed player came through Blackburn Rovers’ academy before playing for Grimsby Town, Oxford United, Barrow, Dundee and Stockport County.

Grayson spent the past three seasons with Gateshead, making 63 appearances for the National League club.

He also helped Gateshead win the FA Trophy at Wembley in 2024.

If approved by the Football Association and league, Grayson will be available for the Reds for Tuesday evening’s match against Warrington Rylands.
