The ex-Blues midfielder has left Motherwell to join Samsunspor in a reported £2m deal.

Watt had joined Motherwell from Burton Albion in 2025 and now joins a club who finished seventh in Turkey's top division last season and also reached the last 16 of the UEFA Conference League.
Watt paid tribute to Motherwell in a statement as he departed, saying: “I would like to take this chance to thank everyone connected to the club for the last 12 months,” Watt said.

“Twelve months that have changed my career and life. The support and positivity I felt from the first minute arrived gave me the confidence to learn, improve and perform."
Watt, who started his professional career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, made 14 appearances and scored one goal for Carlisle under Chris Beech in 2019/20.
He went on to play for Bradford City and Salford City before his more recent spell at Burton, a loan stint at St Johnstone and then Motherwell.
