BARROW Raiders Ladies boss Amanda Wilkinson is urging her players to believe.
Raiders have not enjoyed the best of starts to the season and are yet to put their first Super League win for 2026 on the board.
But Wilkinson can see something to build on from performances, including last weekend’s heavy 74-6 defeat away to Wigan Warriors.
Speaking to the club’s official social media channels, she said: “The girls are playing with a little bit more confidence, and you know belief is a massive thing.
“It ‘s hard to keep getting the girls to believe in themselves when they are playing big teams.
“We’ve had a tough start. We’ve had York in the cup, Saints in the cup, then we’ve had St Helens and then Wigan.
“We’ve not had a chance really to feel really confident in what we are doing.
“That’s where we need to get the girls watching the games and performances and analysing what they are doing well and recognising, you know girls you are performing, you are doing those little things well.
“It’s just getting the girls to recognise that to grow that confidence.”
