WORKINGTON Town made it two away trips on the belt as they travelled to the opposite side of the Pennines to Leeds and, in particular, Hunslet.
Both sides have been up and down this season, with town on the back of a 70-point slaughter at Oldham last week, while Hunslet saw off Cumbrian neighbours Whitehaven 10-30 at the Ortus Rec.
Town were going into the weekend again without Stevie Scholey and Evan Lawther. Spencer Fulton, who had just come back last week from a head knock, was forced out once again with a similar issue that required a hospital visit in Manchester last week.
It was a welcome return to action for Zarrin Galea; however, from his own HIA issues, Scholey and Lawther continued to be monitored along with Bradley.
Town welcomed Oscar Doran back into the wings as he went against Leeds Rhinos loan player Riley Lumb, who is out of favour with Brad Arthur, as Tyce Walmsley replaced Jack Stephenson on the bench.
The deadlock was broken in 8 minutes as Town forced the ball wide. Oscar Doran makes 30 meters and passes inside for Carter.
Town went back-to-back as Alex Donaghy acrobatically scored in the corner. Carter superbly nailed the touchline goal to 0-12 in 11 minutes.
The first penalty of the game went to Hunslet when Lee Gaskell was hit late by Mason Lewthwaite on 17 minutes. This came to nothing when Hunslet gave away a seven-tackle set.
Hunslet came back; however, a try-saving tackle from Donaghy kept the score nil.
Superb kick from Dom Wear saw Town on the front foot, and when Hunslet were penalised for offside 3 meters out, Town converted for a 0-14 lead on 23 minutes.
After 28 minutes, there was a stoppage in play as Bear Williams and Cam Berry came out of a tackle with blood all over their faces.
Town continued to dominate as Carter dropped a lovely kick in behind the line for Wear to force a dropout.
It did come to nothing when the former threw a wayward pass, evading Doran and Corkill to find touch.
Hunslet did pose threats towards the end of the half before Town forced a knock on just shy of the line as huge tackles from Williams and Graham looked to keep Town to Hunslet out as Ainley went off with a HIA.
Town failed to keep the hosts out as Ant Walker took the ball on a crash line to see the hosts over against the play of the half, Abram converting for 6-14 on the stroke of half-time as they earned a penalty for offside.
Town nearly started the second half in great form when Graham broke the line and fed Galea a gap, but the set ended with Lewthwaite missing the ball to score.
Towns' lead was extended when Donaghy went over near the side for 6-20 as Carter once again was sublime with the kick. Passing the hour.
Carter then became the latest to get a brace as Reid and Phillips worked well to send the half over besides the posts for 6-26.
There was an air of concern for Alex Donaghy on 68 minutes when he looked to be taken high off the ball and needed medical attention before leaving the pitch.
Hunslet got the ball back and forced a dropout when play resumed; however, the visitors forced a knock on following a huge restart to get the ball back.
As the set played out, Galea dropped a low kick in the corner for Oscar Doran to touch down for his first of the season to see Town out to 30 points as Carter continued his 100% record to take Town out to 6-32.
Town continued to dominate the hosts and could count themselves unlucky not to have a penalty for Galea being taken off the ball deep into the last quarter, as Lewthwaite took a knock but was able to get into the line.
The try of the game came with 2 minutes left when Galea stripped half the Hunslet team to go under the posts for a full-time score of 6-38.
