THREE loan signings have been confirmed to boost Whitehaven Rugby League’s squad.

The recruits join ahead of this weekend’s Championship fixture against the Dewsbury Rams.

Alfie Sinclair, a 21-year-old prop from St Helens, has joined on a week’s loan.

He has made two senior appearances for the Saints, debuting in a Challenge Cup match against West Hull last season.

Sinclair has also spent time on loan at Swinton and North Wales, featuring against Whitehaven in the opening League 1 fixture of 2025.

Whitehaven have also secured Alfie Briggs and Rowan Stephenson from Wakefield Trinity.

Both players arrive on an initial two-week loan, making them available for the next two Championship matches against Dewsbury and Swinton.

Briggs, a prop, could make his professional debut if selected this weekend.

Half-back Stephenson has already played at the senior level, coming off the bench for Trinity in a 46-0 win over Barrow in September 2024.

A spokesman for Whitehaven Rugby League said: "The club would like to thank both clubs for their co-operation in the players joining the club, and we hope the trio enjoys their time in the Chocolate, Blue and Gold."
