National League club Hartlepool United have sacked manager Simon Grayson.
The 55-year-old has left the Monkey Hangers, who say their "expectations" were not "being met".
Grayson, who was appointed in June, leaves the north east club in 12th position in the fifth tier.
His final game in charge was Saturday's 1-1 draw at Gainsborough Trinity in the FA Cup fourth round qualifying.
Hartlepool confirmed former Leeds United, Bradford City, Fleetwood Town, Blackpool and Preston North End boss Grayson's departure in a statement on Sunday.

"Following discussions yesterday evening and a board meeting this morning, it became clear that expectations with performances and results have not been met," the Victoria Park club said.
"Obtaining one win in the last 11 games falls short of the required standard; therefore, the board of directors have collectively made the extremely difficult decision to relieve Simon of his duties.
"The board wishes to thank Simon for his efforts and wish him the very best in his future endeavours."
Coach Nicky Featherstone, assisted by Elliott Dickman and Adam Smith, is in caretaker charge ahead of Tuesday's replay against Northern Premier League Premier Division side Gainsborough, who came close to a cup upset at Hartlepool's expense before an 83rd minute equaliser rescued Grayson's side.
Their 14 league games so far this season have brought four wins, six draws and four defeats, one of the latter coming at Brunton Park on October 1 when Pools lost 3-1 to Carlisle United.
The decision on Grayson comes days after his assistant, the former Carlisle manager Neil McDonald, left the club after his own short-lived stay with Pools.
Their return game against the Cumbrians comes on February 25.
Grayson is the seventh manager to leave his position so far in the National League season, following previous decisions at Yeovil Town (twice), Solihull Moors, York City, Sutton United and Eastleigh.
