Barrow head coach Andy Whing has praised the club’s supporters ahead of Saturday’s League Two clash against Crawley, highlighting the vital role fans play in lifting the team.

Barrow won their first game in four attempts last time out against Crewe Alexandre, in what was a resolute defensive showing.

With a 654 mile round trip to the Broadfield Stadium, Whing highlighted the importance the fans hold when backing the team.

He said: "We’ve had absolutely outstanding support throughout this season.

“It’s a very long way for some of our fans, so if anyone comes down, we really, really appreciate it. Hopefully we can give them something to cheer about on Saturday.”

Supporters travelling to the fixture can expect a committed performance, with Whing emphasizing that the team will continue to be “hard to beat” and give their all for the fans who make the journey.

A win will take the Bluebirds to 12 points, and mark a positive trend in the sides form.
