More than 300 crews from across the country have taken part in a north Cumbrian regatta over the weekend.

327 crews from 19 clubs took part in more than 180 races at the eagerly anticipated 2024 Talkin Tarn Regatta.

The event is organised and run by Talkin Tarn Amateur Rowing Club (TTARC) who are one of the oldest clubs in the North of England having been founded in 1859.

Attendees said that the event was ‘very busy’ with crews from all over England and Scotland and ‘plenty of spectators’ were present cheering on their favourites and a there was a ‘long queue’ for the tearoom and the toilets.

The regatta is one of the highlights of the rowing calendar and is eagerly anticipated across the rowing community.
