Former Carlisle United man Reggie Lambe is preparing for life in the National League.
The midfielder has extended his stay with Braintree Town - the club he fired to promotion.
The Bermuda international, who played for Carlisle from 2016 to 2018, was Braintree's hero with the winning goal in their National League South play-off final against Worthing.
Now the 33-year-old has committed to the club for the 2024/25 campaign, it has been announced.
It sees Lambe moving back up the pyramid after spells in non-league with Stowmarket Town, AFC Sudbury and Braintree, whom he joined last June.
That followed a spell with Cambridge United, where he had spent two years after his Carlisle departure.
The ex-Ipswich man, who joined the Blues under Keith Curle, made 90 appearances and scored 14 goals in a two-year spell at Brunton Park.
He produced play-off heroics with Braintree earlier this month when he headed the extra-time winner in their 4-3 victory over Worthing.
Lambe had only been on the pitch 13 minutes having come off the substitutes' bench in extra-time.
The former United man will now face teams such as Oldham Athletic in the National League in 2024/25, with Braintree heading back to that level for the first time since 2019.
