Carlisle United are selling off a piece of Brunton Park history - lamps from a Warwick Road End floodlight.

The floodlight in the corner of the ground between the Warwick end and the East Stand has been dismantled as part of major stadium works this summer.

And United are allowing fans to get their hands on some of the lamps as a keepsake.

The floodlight has been in place at Brunton Park since the 1970s.

Carlisle say "a very limited number" of the lamps will be available for sale in the Blues Store at Brunton Park from 10am on Thursday, priced £100 each.

The offer comes as work continues on a number of parts of the stadium during the close-season.

United are improving the facilities at the Warwick Road End terrace, with a new fan zone area set to be established.

Major work is also taking place in the East Stand, where new lounges, executive boxes and a boardroom are among the facilities to be installed.

It is part of the drive by United's owners, the Piatak family, to modernise Brunton Park following their takeover of the club last autumn.
