Former Carlisle United trialist Dan Langley has joined the ex-Blues goalkeeping contingent at Oldham Athletic.
The man who played a number of pre-season games for United has signed for the National League club until the end of the season.
Langley joins former Carlisle No1 Magnus Norman and ex-Cumbrians keeper coach Steve Collis at Boundary Park.
The 22-year-old has made the move to the Latics after a spell with Blyth Spartans.
He was released by Newcastle United in the summer and spent most of pre-season with Carlisle without managing to earn a deal.
He went on to join Blyth on a non-contract basis but now moves up the non-league ladder under new Oldham boss Micky Mellon.
Langley also spent time at Oldham before the start of the campaign and said: "I was down here for a few weeks in the summer and saw what a good group there is with Magnus and Matt [Hudson].
"I'm really delighted to be here and see if I can make my own mark, and kick on from there."

Former United coach Collis added on Oldham's website: "I think it's important to have three quality 'keepers on our books, who will push each other and that's what Dan will help us do.
"He's still very young for a goalkeeper at 22, and he's had experience at this level before which is fantastic."
Blues boss Simpson decided against offering Langley terms after his outings for United in their warm-up games.
The Carlisle boss wanted stronger first-team competition for Tomas Holy, and ended up bringing in Reading's Jokull Andresson on loan.
