Burton Albion boss Dino Maamria insists his in-form side won't be complacent as they head to Brunton Park tonight.
The Brewers are pursuing a fifth straight League One victory against Paul Simpson's Carlisle United.
But Maamria says nothing can be taken for granted in the midweek showdown.
"We never look back or sit on our laurels, we just move forward," said Maamria.
"Carlisle is a long journey, a big pitch and we need to be mentally and physically ready.”
Burton, having failed to win their first seven league games, have hit resurgent form and on Saturday thrashed Bristol Rovers 4-1.
The visitors will be without injured defender Sam Hughes, but can call upon former Carlisle United keeper Max Crocombe and ex-Blues striker Cole Stockton.
Burton are unbeaten in eight games and Maamria said their win at the weekend summed up their recent improvement.
"The scoreline is 4-1 but it was a tough win and we weren’t at our best," said the ex-Stevenage man in a club interview.
"That just shows the growth in the team over the last few weeks.
"We have had a huge result but on the back of a performance that’s not as good as they have been. We got a win at 60-70 percent of our best and we can go forward with that.”
