A former Carlisle United defender has left one of their League One rivals after the latest managerial sacking in the division.
Danny Butterfield, assistant boss at Lincoln City, has departed along with head coach Mark Kennedy.
The Imps made the decision with the club 16th in the table after 11 games.
Coach Tom Shaw has been placed in caretaker charge, with early bookies' favourites for the job including Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley and former Lincoln boss Danny Cowley according to BetVictor.
Kennedy had been in charge since the summer of 2022 with Butterfield, who played for United in the 2013/14 season, joining that December.

First-team coach Tom Shaw will take charge of the first-team on an interim basis while the club undertakes a thorough process to identify our next head coach.
In a statement, Lincoln chief executive Liam Scully said: "Everyone at the club thanks Mark and Danny for their contribution to the Imps over their time with us, and we wish them well in their future coaching careers.
"They leave with our thanks and best wishes.”
Lincoln are the fourth of Carlisle's third-tier rivals to make a managerial change this season with Charlton Athletic, Fleetwood Town and Cheltenham Town having already changed bosses.
Carlisle drew 1-1 at Sincil Bank in September with the home encounter coming on April 1.
