Cumbrian duo James Trafford and Jarrad Branthwaite helped England's Under-21s to a 9-1 victory over Serbia.
They both started the game as Lee Carsley's side ran riot in their European Championships qualifier.
Goalkeeper Trafford, from Greysouthen, got his 13th U21 cap with defender Branthwaite, from Wigton, making his second appearance.
And they watched their team-mates rack up a record-equalling goal tally in the game at Nottingham Forest's City Ground.
Serbia took a shock lead when Aljosa Vasic fired an unstoppable effort past Trafford.
It was the first goal at Under-21 level that the Burnley keeper had conceded in eight outings, and only the third in his U21 career.
But England soon hit back and after Jaden Philogene shot the hosts level, Liam Delap - son of ex-Carlisle United star Rory - put them in front.
Philogene later added another with Harvey Elliott and Noni Madueke also getting two apiece, Jonathan Rowe and a Luka Subotic own goal completing the rout.
Trafford, 21, played the full game in goal while 21-year-old Everton defender Branthwaite played the first 76 minutes before being substituted.
It was England's first home game since they won this summer's Euros - a tournament in which Trafford played a starring role, keeping a clean sheet in every game and saving a last-minute Spain penalty in the final.
Branthwaite made his U21 debut against Germany in the tournament's group stage and will now aim to hold down a place in the latest qualifying campaign for the 2025 finals.
England have two wins from two games, having already defeated Luxembourg, and next take on Ukraine in Slovakia on Monday.
The Under-21s' goal tally in Nottingham equalled the nine they put past San Marino in a 9-0 win in 2013.
Branthwaite's latest cap came in a big week for the young ex-Carlisle defender, who has signed a major new contract with Everton.
