Derby County have announced a sell-out of away tickets for their trip to Carlisle United this month.

The Rams have already shifted their full allocation for the September 23 trip to Brunton Park.

The League One clash will be Derby's first league visit to United's ground since 1984.

And travelling supporters will be heading to Cumbria in their numbers, with 1,546 tickets having quickly been snapped up.

Derby announced that all tickets have gone in a statement today.

It said:

Derby County’s allocation of tickets for their 2023/24 Sky Bet League One fixture at Carlisle United have sold out.

The Rams will travel to Brunton Park to face Paul Simpson's side on Saturday 23rd September 2023 (3pm kick-off).

Derby were handed a total allocation of 1,546 tickets for the match and these have now completely sold out. No further tickets will be made available.

Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the long journey to Carlisle, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.

Derby sit 11th in the League One table after three wins and three defeats from their opening six league games.

Their last league trip to Brunton Park in February 1984 saw a 2-1 win for Bob Stokoe's Carlisle thanks to goals from Andy Hill and Alan Shoulder.

While Derby have won at the ground more recently, through a 2-0 victory in the League Cup in 2014, they have to go back to March 1957 for their last league win in Cumbria.

That came in Division Three North when the Rams prevailed 3-1 at Brunton Park.

Carlisle, in fact, have a very strong record against Derby in (relatively) recent league action - they are unbeaten in their last 12 league encounters with the Rams.

United, meanwhile, say they are also expecting a bumper home crowd for the September 23 game...
