Swansea made their move for ex-United loan star Yates after Blackpool's relegation to League One.

Yates made 139 appearances for Blackpool, scoring 46 goals, and has expressed his thanks to the Bloomfield Road club.

β€œI want to thank everyone for their support since I joined the football club," he told their website.
