Tottenham Hotspur are keen on a summer deal for Dean Henderson if he is allowed to leave Manchester United, fresh reports claim.

And the north London club are also considering another ex-Carlisle United man as they weigh up a long-term future without Hugo Lloris.

According to ESPN, they are interested in Everton's Jordan Pickford as well as Cumbrian keeper Henderson, who is on loan at Nottingham Forest from Manchester United.

Henderson, who is currently on the comeback trail from a thigh injury, has long been tipped for a permanent departure from Old Trafford.

While Man Utd boss Erik Ten Hag is reportedly open-minded on a future at the club for the Whitehaven star, a lack of first-team football behind first-choice David de Gea could see Henderson look to move on.

The ESPN report says Henderson is under consideration at Tottenham, also speculating that Manchester United's interest in Harry Kane could be a factor in any potential deal.

Any big-money move for the keeper would be of interest to Carlisle, who stand to benefit from a sell-on clause in the deal that took Henderson from the Blues' academy to Man Utd in 2011.

England No1 Pickford, meanwhile, recently signed a new deal at Everton but the former Carlisle loanee could be up for grabs should the Toffees be relegated.

Also on the goalkeeping front, meanwhile, Cumbrian James Trafford is hoping to win his latest England Under-21 cap this weekend.

The 20-year-old, from Greysouthen, is in the squad to face France at Leicester City's King Power Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 5pm).

Trafford, who is on loan at Bolton Wanderers from Manchester City, could also figure in the following Under-21 game against Croatia at Fulham's Craven Cottage next Tuesday.

Trafford's fellow Cumbrian, defender Jarrad Branthwaite, had to pull out of the squad with injury.
