Colchester United - beaten by Carlisle United on Saturday - are looking for their third bosdss of the season.

It comes after League One club Wycombe Wanderers moved for U's head coach Matt Bloomfield.

Wycombe are set to confirm Bloomfield as their new manager after Gareth Ainsworth's departure to take charge at Queens Park Rangers.

Bloomfield had only been in charge at Colchester for less than five months after replacing Wayne Brown at the helm.

Now the club who sit 19th in League Two are seeking a new head coach.

Bloomfield is a Wycombe legend after a long playing spell there, and his bright start to management with Colchester has caught the eye of the Buckinghamshire club, who are seventh in the third tier.
