Teenage Carlisle United defender Max Kilsby was on the scoresheet in a big win for loan club Annan Athletic.

The 19-year-old claimed his second goal for the club in an emphatic 4-0 victory over Bonnyrigg Rose.

Kilsby netted the Galabank side's third goal as they powered to three points in Scottish League Two.

It was a second goal in four appearances for the first-year United pro, who has spent the first half of the season on loan with Peter Murphy's side.

The 4-0 home win over the division's bottom team, which also featured goals from Aidan Smith and two from Tommy Goss, sent Annan up to fourth in the table.

It was Kilsby's 18th appearance and 14th league start for the club.

The left-sided defender's loan will soon be up with a decision on whether he will remain at Annan for the season likely to be confirmed soon.

Kilsby was the only one of United's three young loanees to be in action at the weekend, after Annan's pitch passed an inspection.

Sam Fishburn's Morpeth Town saw their Northern Premier League Premier Division trip to Bamber Bridge postponed because of a frozen pitch.

There was no game, meanwhile, for Lewis Bell at Gretna 2008.
