Cumbrian defender Jarrad Branthwaite enjoyed a day to remember for PSV Eindhoven.

The Wigton star scored his first goal for the Dutch club in their top-flight game against Feyenoord.

And Branthwaite, who is on loan from Everton, was also named man of the match for his part in PSV's dramatic 4-3 victory.

Former Carlisle United man Branthwaite got on the scoresheet in the 16th minute for Ruud Van Nistelrooy's side.

He produced a clever near-post finish to level the scores after Oussama Idrissi's early Feyenoord opener.

PSV then twice led before needing a late Armabdo Obispo goal to secure a high-scoring win, which put them top of the Dutch top division ahead of Ajax on goal difference.

The Eindhoven outfit tweeted their delight at Jarrad's showing, hailing "the big man" for his man-of-the-match efforts.

Branthwaite, 20, is on a season-long loan in a quest for valuable first-team football under former Manchester United striker Van Nistelrooy.
