Carlisle United WILL return to action tomorrow night.

The EFL has announced that its fixture programme will resume from Tuesday.

That means the Blues are in line to return to action against Mansfield Town at the One Call Stadium.

The decision follows the postponement of the weekend's games - including United's trip to Harrogate Town - as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II following her death last Thursday.

The League - in a statement shared on United's website - say tributes will be paid to Her Majesty at midweek games, with a minute's silence, flags at half mast, the National Anthem played and participants wearing black armbands.

The EFL have added that, with a national policing plan now in operation, "the League and clubs will continue to work with forces in respect of any challenges that may emerge regarding policing of specific fixtures.

"Consideration to individual circumstances will be made on a case-by-case basis, in line with standard match Safety Advisory Group (SAG) protocols."

There has so far been no suggestion of the above policing issues affecting United's game at Mansfield.

It means Paul Simpson's Blues can resume their season against Nigel Clough's Stags.

Tickets for the game remain on sale at Brunton Park until 4pm today.

They are also available on the day of the game but with an increase in price.

Adult prices are £20 if bought before matchday, £22 if bought on the day.

More infomation is on United's website.
