Carlisle United fans gave us their views on Twitter after the 3-3 draw with Rochdale.

Here is a selection.

The good, the bad and the indifferent. A result and performance that leaves you with a bittersweet taste. Great we came got a point, but we should never have got into that position. Moxon epitomised our game, excellent and poor in equal measure. Very much a work in progress. (@BruceVander)

I think Simmo's assessment of where we are as a club is correct and today we saw exactly why it isn't a short-term fix. Poor from the start, but great character from the squad to claw it back. Devitt was excellent and deserves a start. Moxon had a very poor spell, but came good. (@ilikefrogs)

Poor again in the first half of both halves, then we sorted ourselves out, good character to come back but have to start games better (@Matthewgaskell9)

Poor for the first 30 minutes. Then slow to get started in the second half. Need to be on it from the start. Gutted Edmondson had to go off so early. Really missed Guy today but Devitt gave the team a big lift and had a really good match again. (@Philbell719Phil)

We always looked like we would get back in it. A lot of things going wrong today, but we are so much better at set-pieces compared to last season. The quality of the corners from Moxon helped get the point today (@Playbytherulz)

If that was last season it would have probably stayed 3-1, or more goals and our players would have just given up, but now our players are fighting (@JohnRoutledge11)

Kristian Dennis is so, so underrated. Might not have been the best player on the pitch today but his hold-up play and work rate are unbelievable, not to mention his goals. Thought as a team certain individuals weren’t up to it today but we scored three goals (@josephscott2005)

Devitt should have started and simply must start next week. He was a game changer and some of his passes were fantastic. (@beetler43)

Bit poor for most of the game. Rochdale were fired up with a new manager. Carlisle played route one football. One up front against three or more. After 20 minutes we should have changed our shape. Worrying that we stuck to a poor game plan, but limited through injury I suppose. (@AyeCumbrian)

Forget the point…bottom of the league and drawing at home is unacceptable. (@ChrisGraves19)

Really poor today, players not talking and passes going astray. Good fight to get back in it and will take the point (@Tommo2753)

Quigley bullied our back line. Be worth looking at him in the summer. Poor performance and a nightmare five-minute spell, but didn’t crumble and snatched a point. Still missing chances mind. Both Dennis and Patrick should really be scoring before HT. Think we missed Guy a bit but we’ve really missed Barclay since he got injured. Looked a little unbalanced since (@parkinsonross)

The Blues never really got going today, too many passes going astray. A tough game as Dale do have some decent players, but we made it easy for them not getting the second balls. Got undone at the back when on the front foot, but a good point in grand scheme of things - we’d have lost last season (@IanWsanderson)

A demonstration of our poor transfer window. (@RegReagan2)

Fought back well and could have snatched it near the end with the momentum…Didn’t come out for start of second half but responded to the adversity. Got the second quickly which helped. (@Snakeeyes7475)

Not sure about Harris, he looks too soft. Poor goals to give away but on the plus side kept going and came back. Devitt made a difference and Huntington fully fit will be a bonus (@PaulMar21281685)

Point gained, good fighting spirit to come from 3-1 down, but to be honest it was a bit shambolic today in midfield. Hopefully Guy back for next week. (@RonnieSmith1964)

Common denominator with the Stevenage game, Harris, not up to the job yet. It's going to be interesting how Feeney and Huntington work together as both prefer to play in the middle of the three (@DaveGMcM)

There was mention of a bug going round. I thought many looked 80% at best. Patrick's miss was a shocker, but he's getting in the right positions; his goal will come, have faith. We looked better when Mellish moved into midfield & we played it on the deck. Too many long diagonals - though we did get that cracker from Devitt, with the right creative player the diagonal is a great ball (@adydent67)
