Carlisle United will face Crawley Town on the opening day of the League Two season.

The Blues will welcome the Reds to Brunton Park on Saturday, July 30.

Paul Simpson's side will then end the campaign away at Sutton United on Saturday, May 6.

Bradford City will be the opponents on Boxing Day at Brunton Park, with a trip to Doncaster Rovers pencilled in for New Years' Day.

Good Friday will see Tranmere Rovers travel to Carlisle, with the team then on the road at Walsall on Easter Monday.

The Cumbrians' final home game of the season comes against Salford City.

Local rivals Barrow will travel to Brunton Park on December 10, with the return fixture on April 22.

Meanwhile, the always popular trip to Hartlepool United will come on October 8.

It will be the second season in a row that Carlisle have begun the campaign on home soil having hosted Colchester United on the opening day last year - with the U's this year providing the Cumbrians' first away trip.

Crawley previously provided opening day opposition back in 2019, with Carlisle running-out 2-1 winners. That was the last time the Blues won in their first game of a season.
