A former Carlisle United defender is part of a six-man clear-out at League Two rivals Tranmere Rovers.
Nathaniel Knight-Percival is among the players released by the Prenton Park club.
The experienced centre-half has reached the end of his contract and will now be looking for a new club after manager Micky Mellon's decision.
He joins Callum McManaman, Jay Spearing, Joe Maguire, Nicky Maynard and Mani Dieseruvwe in being released by the Wirral outfit.
Knight-Percival, 35, made 21 appearances last season but was often restricted to a substitute role.
It came as Tranmere fell out of the promotion push late in the season and finished ninth.
The defender had joined Tranmere last summer after a spell with Morecambe. He was with Carlisle in the 2019/20 campaign, making 19 appearances.
Mellon told the Tranmere website: “I’d like to wish all of the players who are departing all of the best for the future and thank them for their efforts whilst with us."
