Carlisle United's Euro 2020 final event for fans at Brunton Park has sold out in double-quick time.

The Blues have announced that all places in the Sunset Suite to watch England v Italy have been snapped up.

It comes just hours after the club announced they were again opening their doors to fans for one of the biggest occasions in English football history.

After holding two special screening events of the Three Lions' quarter-final and semi-final victories, United are making it a hat-trick for this Sunday's final.

They offered tickets on a first-come, first-served basis for fans to watch the big televised Wembley occasion in the Sunset Suite at Brunton Park.

And supporters have been swift to book their places.

The Cumbrians have already staged sell-out events for the wins over Ukraine and Denmark - the first such events open to all fans at the ground since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic - with a pie-and-pint offer to tempt fans to the stadium.

The same applies for this Sunday's event as Gareth Southgate's side aim to win a first major tournament for England since 1966.

United offered a limited number of places because of ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, with table service provided and social distancing measures in place.

Fans attending are also asked to wear masks while moving around the premises.

Entry is £6.50, which includes a McCalls pie plus a pint or alternative drink, while there was a limit of six tickets per customer.

The doors open at 7pm, an hour before kick-off.
