Carlisle boss Chris Beech says his team are outpassing their opponents.

The head coach claims United have dominated possession in recent games.

But he says they must turn pressure into more points.

The Blues go to Cambridge today seeking a first win in six after a number of draws.

He said: “To be honest with you, the games we’ve won we’ve probably had less possession and less dominance.

“In the last three games we were outpassing our opponents by 100-150 passes.

“In the Morecambe game we almost doubled the passes.

“The first half was quite strange, to be 2-0 down without Morecambe doing too much. The goals were sporadic but of course avoidable – but quite good finishes in terms of what they did.

“I felt confident we’d get back in it and in the last 25 minutes we’d get the winning goal. We didn’t get it, but we’re competing, working hard.

“This great game of ours, though, will always be about winning.

“Whether you deserve it or not, you’re judged on that.

“Nobody considers your training facilities or preparation, or is bothered what the weather’s like, after matchday – the first two questions anybody asks in anybody’s house, and it goes back to schoolboy football are: did you win, did you score?

“We can dress things up but that’s basically what this great game of football is all about – winning.”
