Workington Reds manager Danny Grainger has brought key men Scott Allison and Liam Brockbank straight back into the starting line-up for his team's top-of-the-table clash with Marine this afternoon.
Allison and Brockbank missed last weekend's FA Trophy trip to Leek Town but Grainger – who signed a new contract to extend his stay at the club until the end of next season this week – has restored them to the side for today's game against the NPL North West Division's fourth-placed side, while Millenic Alli, who joined the club on loan from South Shields last month, is back on the bench.
Grainger's new contract was revealed at a meet-the-manager night in the ground's Tony Hopper Bar last night, where it was also confirmed that coaches Steve Rudd and Gari Rowntree and impressive youngsters Ceiran Casson and Brockbank had extended their deals.
Reds: Atkinson, Matty Clarke, Brockbank, Wordsworth, Smith, Casson, Symington, Hubbold, Allison, Waterston, Tinnion. Subs: Hebson, Little, Bowman, Alli, Kelly.
Marine: George, Solomon-Davies, Joyce, Strickland, Miley, Devine, Lindfield, Irwin, Cummins, Mbalanda, Barrigan. Subs: Lycett, Ellison, Devine, Barai, Mendes.
