Members of Workington Golf Club have been welcoming in the new season, along with a host of new responsibilities.

They have recently held their drive-ins to office, with new captain John Atkinson leading the way.

His wife Barbara Atkinson has taken over the role of lady captain and she was joined by her vice captain Chris Reed and many of the female members as she teed off.

The junior captain’s drive-in was also held to welcome in Scott Jones and he is pictured with captain John Atkinson and some of the juniors who took part in the traditional captain v vice captain season opener, with junior vice captain Alissa Thompson’s team narrowly winning.
