Luke Greenbank is the British 100m backstroke champion after a superb swim in last night's final.
The talented Cockermouth swimmer qualified fastest for the final and got a middle lane as his reward.
And he moved up another gear in the British Championship final at Glasgow's Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
He beat off competition from some of the country's leading swimmers to break the 54 second barrier and take the gold medal in a time of 53.92.
And he tweeted afterwards: "So happy to finally be in the 53 club! Looking forward to the 200 on Sunday."
Greenbank, who swims out of Loughborough, is back in action in the 200m backstroke at the championships on Sunday.
