Ben Stokes admits he is "buzzing" for his first match of his 2019 Indian Premier League campaign as Rajasthan Royals play Kings XI Punjab today.
Stokes, from Cockermouth, is one of four Englishman in the Royals' squad this term, alongside fellow Cumbrian Liam Livingstone, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer.
It's 27-year-old Stokes' third IPL campaign. He was the IPL's most expensive foreign player when Rising Pune Supergiant bought him for £1.7m in 2017 when he went on to be named "the Most Valuable Player" that year.
He then linked-up with Rajasthan Royals last season and will start his latest IPL stint with them at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium this afternoon (2.30pm start in the UK).
The all-rounder said on his Instagram account: "[I'm] buzzing to put the @rajasthanroyals kit back on tonight.
"[I] love playing for this franchise."
