Moor Row Reds lead the way in the West Cumbria Youth League Under-12 red division after they picked up their third win of the season at the weekend.
They took on Maryport Amateurs and won 5-0 to stay a point clear of Whitehaven AFC Yellows in second, who beat Seaton Athletic 3-1.
The remaining game in the division was an internal battle within Workington Reds as their White team beat the Red side 4-0.
In the blue division, Whitehaven Miners Social inflicted the first defeat of the term on Whitehaven AFC’s Blue side.
Miners won the game 5-0 to keep their own unbeaten record intact and stay on top of the pile.
It was all square as Dearham Rangers took on St Bees, the game ending 5-5 while Grassroad Sharks won 9-2 over Silloth Mini Gulls.
Seaton United fought back against Windscale in their Under-13 clash but it was the Egremont side who took the spoils 4-2 at the final whistle.
Seaton Athletic welcomed Whitehaven Miners. Previous meetings of these two teams have always produced great games and this one did not fail to deliver as Whitehaven won 3-2.
Man of the match was Morgan Clarke.
Cleator Moor Celtic were convincing 9-1 winners over Whitehaven AFC Yellows while Whitehaven AFC Blues won 6-1 at Bransty Rangers.
Maryport Amateurs recorded a 3-1 success at Cockermouth Juniors while Senhouse Juniors and Workington Reds played out a 3-3 draw.
In the Under-14 league, there was a real tussle as high-flying Whitehaven AFC and Workington Reds Whites couldn’t get the better of each other in a 3-3 draw.
Cockermouth Cougars were victorious, winning 6-1 at St Bees in the other game.
Turning to the Under-16 league, Maryport Athletic are the team on top after five wins from five outings.
Their latest success came at the hands of Workington Wanderers Whites Under-15s, Athletic winning 2-0.
Windscale Under-15s won 1-0 over Cleator Moor Celtic Under-15s while Seaton Under-15s turned over Whitehaven AFC Under-16s 3-1.
Bransty Rangers took the honours in a nine-goal thriller, beating Cleator Moor Celtic 6-3.
Workington Reds Blacks were also on the winning sides as they beat Maryport Amateurs Under-15s 9-3.
There were two games in the Under-18 league as Cockermouth Juniors beat Whitehaven AFC 2-1 and Workington Reds Blacks were 5-4 winners over Moor Row Under-17s.
